That is an amazing species no doubt. It would love dim lighting. I have read it can even shoot insects down like Colisa lalia with a jet of water from the mouth. the water portion is quite dark, compared to a normal aquarium, so why not something that "glows"...what about "Hemigrammus erythrozonus"
or as already suggested a panchax. just recently i have seen one, which is supposedly native...great colours

Hemigrammus erythrozonus looks great and schools also well.... But they grow a bit big.... I would suggest some thing delicate for this .....
