Is it your own home? If so dig a 5 ft pond and make it marine. It LL be cool and free light. If you think your new tank is going waste, just dig hole and place it in garden

oh ye.. You might have another old story. Hmmm can't understand how you'll cool tank that's in garden, even with leds on.

Exactly like Mr. Aamir's 2nd link....its awesome.... but for your with bit of hybrid.

If you can create an underground room(seriously, you dont need to use your garrage and parking lot )
the big tank can be made into the ground, and you can look in from glass.(but your tank is quite small, so scrap off my earlier idea-1)
You may not even want to cool the tank, I think 5ft depth tanks dont get hot, especially if the earth around tank is cooled with water and small shrubs. So just some more wavemakers is what you need.(remember no need of moonlight too )

Just saying this because, only you can do it as you have dedicated home and garden....and you should make it different to routine. again, Mr. Aamir's links say its possible.

thanks aamir and marsaiko, appreciate the help can think on that lines, but with a bit of budget constraint i want to stick on the resources i have and may be in near future i ll plan something bigger and better...

the plan i have is for gazebo in garden to make a 5X5 tank and with glass top so that i can house sting rays in it..... but the quote of the tank is killing me.
the idea of open marine is not bad either but the only thing that worries is excess sunlight....
