So when i got into the marine hobby last august, I was up against an all new world. Even though I gouged on all the information that internet had to provide, I still succumbed to LFS passing me on a bleached anemone as some rare white type. :?

Excitedly, I drip acclimatised into its new home. It was only a month later I realised that what i had in fact bought was a bleached anemone. It gradually kept shrinking till i started feeding it frozen shrimp. It took about 5 months for it to regain its zooxanthellae. Its now retained its original colors. But it took me twice weekly feedings to make it happy.
This is the current picture.

I still feed it once a week, chopped shrimp and hopefully the fish poop keeps it happy as well.
So guys beware, as the next time you go out to buy an anemone. These are beautiful creatures and unfortunately kept in little to no lights in LFS. Also there is a white sebae anemone in the wild but i think it rarely makes it to our LFS.
cheers!

Nice efforts Aditya. I have also got an anemone in same condition in past. Up to the end of this year again planning an hi tech anemone tank.
