If it's that, my question is how did they end up in a tank faaaaar away from any dragon fly. These buggers were cutting leaves in the tank.

have found dragonfly larva in my tank a few times and i had the same question.
one thing that i know for sure is that these things need to be removed(any if conscience forbids, should be killed) the very time they are found. they are vicious killer and potential danger to entire population of shrimps and fries.

whatever it is, remove it...it will eat your frys...what are they? apistograma?
