It depends what shrimp you want to keep.

Start with good quality Cherry shrimps. They are very adaptable if fed well and given usual water changes. Really really red

All the parameters depends on the species you wish to keep. As Romi told, RCS and Indian Rainbows are easiest to keep. Start with these species and move later on other sp.
