Romi can u throw some light on this?
They will clean the leaves of anubias by eating the black algae. We have (me and Romi) tried it with other snails. Romi knows the names of those snails.

@sushant

sorry about delay in repling, buddy. i checked this thread again only now.

i got some ramshorn snails from rajiv scorpio. i put them on my anubias and in just 2-3 days they cleaned off the algae like magic. i was very impressed. but the ramshorns did not reproduce very well in competition with MTS and they were outcompeted. rajiv gave me two more recently, but my glutaraledhyde fiasco .... :cry: kya baatooon.....

now, after reading this thread, i am very hopeful that if rajiv gets nerite snails, he can breed them like he bred the ramshorns (planorbis corneus). nerites just need some sea salt in the water so that the water becomes brackish, then the eggs hatch and u get more nerites. i have read about this on the internet, a hobbyist in america breeds them for a living

@scorpio

i hope ur ramhorns breeds again yaar. for anubias, they are enough.
