I must warn I don't culture them I just ignore them. I don't get enough to feed the fish regularly, just a treat now and then.

The NANFA forums are a treasure trove of information and there are a few great threads on live food. Particularly there is a fantastic write up on daphnia culture.

Has anybody tried using yeast to feed daphnia? Over the past couple of days the rains and overcast weather have resulting in crystal clear water in the daphnia bucket.

I got some spirulina capsules but I haven't used them because they had listed their ingredients as

Spirulina - ok
Talc - not ok
Methyl para been and propyl para been - not willing to try out on the daphnia

Yes boss It is a plastic bucket but I noticed that my fish don't go after daphnia like they do for grindal worms or microfex
