Workshop Topics in next meet.

Guys, we will be organize next meet on October 7, 2012 Sunday. Regarding the coming meet I have some agenda as:

1. The forum is completing first year on October 4, 2012. We will also celebrate the birthday anniversary of forum in next meet.

2. We want to organize two workshops based on practical knowledge in the next meet. We have several topics for the workshop. But the workshops will be finalize on the basis of voting. We can have following topics:

a. Plant Tissue Culture
b. How to made a DIY tank.
3. How to setup a planted tank.
4. Fish Breeding
5. DIY Projects


Each user have two votes.
If any member have other suggestion, please explain.

There will also be the arrangement of photography and videography of both the workshop.

Yes, tissue culture cannot be seen as a mainstream interest. This is because the plant will not grow, as per DJ Mankotia even if there is a 1 in 100 chance of contamination with other plant cells. that means too many attempts will be needed before even one is successful.

One very useful and relevant workshop would be one that deals with lighting of a planted tank.
Another useful one would be on how to make acrylic hoods for tanks with minimum fuss and bother.
A third idea would be how to grow pond plants in DIY containers like hypertufa pots or plastic tubs.

I would suggest DIY Fibre Hood and then DIY lighting for planted aquariums using the same hood...
