I got 9 specimens of this fish from Sushant on August 05, 2012. Introduced these fishes in a 45 X 30 X 30 cm planted tank along with RCS. This tank also have many copepods. So no problem of natural live food.
After some days, they released eggs in the aquarium. Although I don't get notice. But after a few days, I saw some small fries swimming the aquarium. (very small not more than a few mm). I saw when I am ready to go my school. So I planned to house those in another aquarium in the noon. These fishes are very careless parents. When I reach home in the noon, there is only one fry left. I think they eaten there own offspring. Fries are very fast swimmers so I can't doubt on RCS.
I have taken 50% water of the existing tank in another aquarium and released the single fry in this tank. I offered some crushed Tetra Bits but fry did not shown any interest. Fry is happy in eating algae. Now it is growing rapidly.
After 12 days size of fry is around 4-5 mm. Daily changing 30-40% of the tank. There is no another fish or shrimp in this tank.
Comments and suggestions are welcome.
