LED Lights: The future's here!
Lighting is an important component of a planted tank. Aquaria switched from incandescent to fluorescent to compact fluorescent (CFL), and the next phase is already here-- LEDs.
They're small, very efficient, don't lose intensity like CFLs after six months, and look good. With more and more imports from China flooding India, the prices are finally becoming realistic.
I use a large 60 watt GE CFL over my planted two-foot tank.
Can someone knowledgeable suggest some good choices in LED lights that i can get from Bhagirath Place?? Please consider kelvin rating too...

You can brought 3 watt white LEDs from Lajpat Rai Market. Recently I have brought Rs.40 per LED from shop no. 128B. The price of driver starts from Rs. 300. It can run 7-10 LEDs(3 watt). There are also available 5 watt LEDs. You should brought LEDs with heat sink. Here Sushant and Abhishek already using these LEDs.

Are your plants growing well? That price is very good, but what about heat sink and driver, as scorpio rajiv says, u have to get that too, don't u?
@scorpio
Do u use your LEDs for your plants yet? I think u have them over your new marine tank, isn't that so?

@sushant
That's great buddy. Are they of the same design that need a separate driver and heat sink?? Can u post a pic for the members of aqapetz?? Even a simple mobile phone pic will do.
I believe an LED light with heat sink and diver integrated would be the best idea. There are even pictures of them in IAH... No particular brand but all made in china.
