@Romi
That was what I was thinking. That as temps rise the worms metabolism increases and they eat more so less leftovers to stink.

Why not make two cultures of your culture, doctor, and try this new approach in the second?deepesh wrote:@Romi

Ok so I was reading up on the Internet. I haven't got planaria In the romifex cultures, technically what I have are microturbellaria - related to but not planaria. Even worse, they are described as predacious!

Romi, I already have two cultures, am about to start a third. Can't put all eggs in one basket.
And a small correction, triclads that mean the classic planarians are predatory, microturbellaria are detrivores, eating detritus mainly.

Romi,
got the reason for cross contamination of cultures,
I thing it is the flies that must be taking the eggs or microfex to the grindal cultures.
if there is any other reason please tell me.

As far as i can recall, the tubifex do not lay eggs but have their gametes come together and make worms in a rapid transformation. Unlike their relatives the earthworms that do encase eggs in a sac. i think i read this on wikipedia.VishaalDalal wrote:Romi,
