some shrimps

here is a pic of some neocaridina shrimps, that are kept in my betta tank

any Id on them would be greatly appreciated.

there are two colors one is bluish green and the other brownish red, but both seem to have the same pattern

they are locally known as "rainbow shrimps"
but they are caridinia babaulti sp they can be many variants of these the ones you have are probably of the two most common ones.
c.babault var 'malaya', c.babaulti var 'green'

I have been using these shrimps as betta food and food for any new fish that I get and need live foods

Was curious about their Ids

Omg you've been culling them?
If you ever come.to Bangalore give your extras to me I can house them in my native shrimp tank I've actually started selectively breeding Indian natives. :)
