Driftwood - Collected from my Village
Driftwod collection:
I live in small village.Yesterday i collected some root wood of Bengali Baval and Sharu (don’t know proper name in English) near Lake .
Since 2-3 year all wood are well weather treated like Rain, Sunlight etc.
I will boil and bleach(10% Bleach+90%water) them.
Please suggest me above procedure is enough ?
and help me they are safe for aquarium?
Sorry for my poor English.

Re: Driftwood - Collected from my Village
nice branch.
to my opinion there is no need for bleaching and boiling...but everyone has a different opinion about that.
just water it for some days/weeks and observe it.
if it does not rot or get covered by slime (bacteria) then it is ok for your tank.

That is some really good looking wood
Well as already suggested put in water and see what happens, I feel it will loose tannin for some days.
Or else you can put it in boiling water and treat it..

Jitu, your woods color saying that it will not release any tenin in the aquarium. But soak this wood in boiling water for 1-2 days. Also mix some salt in the water. Boiling water and salt will kill, if there will be some parasites in the aquarium.
@Jack, I also know the meaning of your Gujrati language sentence.
