Pressurized CO2 and Glut: BOTH?
Reason for the post: Mainly to fight algae.
Pressurized CO2: For plant growth
Glut: To kill algae
Glut type: Flourish Excel or Common Glut
Glut disadvantage: Moss and shrimp dominated tank
Whats all your view.

Re: Pressurized CO2 and Glut: BOTH?
Very nice topic.
Partha, I am not agree with your second point. Glut is also helpful in growth of aquatic plants. I have grown lots of aquatic plants only with the use of Glut. Even I believe in Glut more than CO2.
Consider your third point that Glut is used to kill algae. 100% agree with you. It also kills harmful bacteria in the aquarium. Your fish never get infected with any diseases.
Please also consider your fifth point. You can also use Glut in Moss and shrimp dominated tank. But quantity will be under control. I have successfully used 1/2 ml per 40 liter in a shrimp tank. Never found any causality due to Glut.

I have used Glut with co2 and I primarily used it for removing algae and it did a fantastic job. My shrimps, mosses and fishes were not affected at all, my dosage was 3ml/gallon everyday.

Re: Pressurized CO2 and Glut: BOTH?
Now why this came in my mind?
I am maintaining a small tank with only 25% plants with glut dosing and no sign of any kind of algae. Recently visited Ashokjis place and saw his 2ftr with 80% planted with glut dosing and no sign of any kind of algae.
But other hand my 2ftr with pressurized co2 has really dominating sign of algae, then why not dosing glut(flourish excel) to fight algae. But issue was shrimp and fissidens moss.
But after all your replies I can see things are not new as Ruchitji said he is using both for same reason, Rajivji always suggested glut.
So as of now I will be using flourish excel only 2ml twice a week and will increase after two week seeing the result. My tank size is gallon 70ltr. Suggested on the bottle for 5ml for 200ltr(for plant growth) every/alternative day.

Some plants melt with the application of glut like vals. I've noticed Blyxa jap. not doing well with glut

Someone mentioned in the forum itself that pure aquatic plants don't do well with glut.
