Re: My Nature Inspired Discus tank
Congratulations on the successful spawning! Please keep us updated how the fry are getting on
As was expected the fry was gone after 2 days.
But it is a young pair in a young group so I expect to see alot more fries.
This was kind of special because it was thefirst time for this pair to have the fry on their skin.
A few photo's I took sunday morning, a couple of hours later the fry was gone.
I will leave the pair in my main tank to try a bit more, maybe I will set them apart in a few months but that is not why I have the group so it's not really important for me.
In the past 15 years that I have kept Discus there were 1 or 2 occasions were I actually had some survivors in the showtank after a few months.

Hypoptopomas are nice and intresting catfish.

Re: My Nature Inspired Discus tank
Very interesting fish indeed Scorpio these Hypoptopoma's.
They look really great and are always active and easy to find on the bogwood.
Sadly they are not easy to find here in Holland.
I do have 3 of them in my tank already but we believe those are 3 females and a different species.
I really wanted to expand the group so I am really happy with these 8 even if these are different.

Re: My Nature Inspired Discus tank
Small update,
My unknown L is probably identified as the Parotocinclus Spilosoma
this is the fish I'm talking about, had it for 4 or 5 years now.
I changed the scape a bit, for a better view from where I usually sit.
Nothing much to say, the tank is runnig pretty good and I have no problems, some plants isseus but the tempature is 31 degrees in the summer so that's not really strange.
Thats it for now.
