After a bit of digging in, it isn't a lagenandra sp. Its a potamogeton sp.
New underwater leaves have been coming and the one in my outdoor tub has got two new baby plants with reddish leaves.

Vallisnaria spiralis seen at one of my trips back in the month of May. Carpeted a large area of 10'*4'. Only later did I realise there could be shrimps and killies in that thicket.

Its a smaller variant to that of vallisnaria gigantea, slightly larger than vallisnaria Nana. Looks nice in large tanks.

Marsilia Crenata seen in my trip today along with several other aquatic plants today. You can also see one stem of ludwigia perenis popping out. :)

Was able to collect samples and now growing them in two different conditions.

Ahha, never seen too much Marselia in nature in North Indian water bodies. Nice find.

How to differentiate between quadrifolia and crenata? Even I'm not sure what it is now.

If you can make out from this 5yr old pic, this is how small crenata will look submerged.

1. Quadrafolia will hardly stay so short, will always hit for the surface.
2. Crenata has not been found in India AFAIK.
3. Quadrafolia is the most often found var in India.
