Is azithromycin effective on diatoms?

I guess you need more plants to to take care of algae issue.

It was almost full. I removed it coz diatoms just swallowed them all. I dont understand why otos are gasping for air and every other fishes are comfortable.

Not enough water flow? Less oxygen

Its just 2 feet tank in length. Water flow is good. I keep running co2 whole time. Shall i use a pump when the lights are off?
