Wanted to share my breeding pair of Convicts ,,,,,, its been just one week they have been introduced in tank and today i noticed eggs on the rocks ,,, here is the video of set up and the fishes

What is that skanky fish swimming near the surface? Is he a dither for these guys?
Also, you have a lot of leaf in there, ain't that supposed to make the water soft. I thought convicts prefer hard water, I could be wrong though

Convicts r the most underrated cichlid i have come across ,,,,, they r playful smart , interactive , protective and good-looking. Just because they r available normally people dont see much potential in it and dont consider them as good candidate for their tank,,,,,,, i love them and can spend whole day watching them moving substrates , leaves , small wood etc ,,,,,

They r mostly found in costa rica and from locations where PH may vary from 6.6 to 7.8

AND is that really a killifish you are using as a dither fish? Looks like a Gardneri~!

Will it not jump from your tank, especially when the convicts decide to harass it one day?
