My old scape is is totally collapsed and it was looking too odd,So had to do a rescape !!

I have an observation, and would like to share the same with you.

I follow a general rule while setting up a tank. One, I use two filters - they work better and more efficiently. Two, I always allow a tank to settle down atleast for 45 days before introducing any kind of life in it. Three - I use lab grade ammonia (some folks use Danios) once every week to build a healthy bacteria colony in the filters. Four - I test the water for nitrates and nitrites every weekend.

At the end of 45 days, my water is crystal clear, it has been topped up by RO water 6-7 times, the glass walls do not carry diatoms any more and there is no smell of any kind. To generate a healthy bacteria colony, I use Seachem Matrix.

Some people advise heavy planting from day one, with the assumption that the plants will use the nutrients very fast, resulting in little algae growth. My feeling is that while all that is certainly correct to some extent, a heavily planted tank also requires constant attention. Light, CO2, trimming, replanting, snail infestations, hair algae, melting - everything requires a lot of time and sustained effort. If you are not able to give such attention, something inevitably goes wrong and the tank collapses.

Just my two cents on the topic. I followed your earlier enthusiastic 9kg CO2 cylinder post also. Maybe you learnt something from that experience.
