Might not look as good as paint does. Also th3 acrylic paints are very easy to remove. Just scrape them off with blade. Takes less than 5 minutes.saikumar wrote:Instead of painting why don't you get a black film sticker?

Re: Dedicated shrimp tank finally
Pretty much the following three steps:
1) Clean the surface using colin/acetone.
2) Paint the surface back using a brush/roller (standard Asian paints black paint works well) and let it dry.
3) Repeat step 2 until you get complete coverage.
To make things more efficient, use masking tape on the edges so that the paint doesn't go beyond the intended boundaries. And ensure that you paint in one direction only e.g. First coat horizontal -> dry -> second coat vertical -> dry and so on...
I'll try to post some pics when I paint mine today.

My finnex stingray clip led light fixture arrived. Also I added couple of marimo Moss Balls.
The tank is ready and settled now. Just need to introduce shrimps to it.

Wood is looking very attractive. Cycle it properly before introducing shrimps.
In coming days, I am getting some blue shrimps also.

Thanks Rajiv Ji.SCORPIO wrote:Wood is looking very attractive. Cycle it properly before introducing shrimps.

The tank is cycled. All parameters tested. It has been more than 20 days now since it is there. I fast paced the cycling by using the media from the other already cycled tank.
Just looking forward to get some shrimps from somewhere.

Looking very beautiful with proper plants for shrimps.. lets introduce them early... What's your choices ... Caridina or Neo caridina?

Re: Dedicated shrimp tank finally
I have introduced 5 pairs of yellow neos. I am still a beginner so looking at easy going shrimps. I aspire to breed the more exotic ones, may be after I have developed some expertise.
Thanks for the appreciation.
