New Mountain Scape

Unread post by rajivzee »

Hello,

Just sharing a work in progress.
I want to use easy hardy plants to keep it low on maintenance. Suggestion are welcome.

Right now I mainly have following plants (from my earlier scape)
1. Hemianthus Micranthemoides
2. Rotala Rotundifolia pink
3. Anubias Nana

If I am not wrong he is using Red Blue and white LEDS. If the wattage is OK then the lights will do fine. Rajivjee can u please specify the the lights, moreover Rotalla Green will be better in low maintenance tank.

Hi Guys,

I've built my own custom led light 2 blue, 2 red, 8 white (12 x 3 watt Edison Led's) = 36 Watt

This is approx. 100 litre tank (excluding hardscape & substrate) so it comes to around 1.3 watt per gallon and I can further increase the intensity by putting led lenses (if required). I've one more strip of similar 3 watt all white led and in the past I've experienced immediate pearling when using both led strip simaltaneously but that require more maintenance which I wanted to cut down so just running a test if this will work alright.

I use Glutaraldehyde as a carbon source.
