I am thinking of making a Fixture for my 48X18X18 planted tank. Rajeev Sharma has been grateful in guiding me on the basic principles, configuration, etc.
However, since my aquarium is in leaving room, it has to look good aesthetically (that is must to get permission from my wife). I therefore have following queries -
1. What kind of Panel to be Used (I would prefer a single piece 4 ft panel and then I can use 3 such panels).
2. Where can I get such Panel?
3. How to join 3 or 4 parallel panels ?
4. How to make a DIY Stand to rest these panels on the top of the Aquarium Glass?
While there are many write ups available on DIY LED Lighting, there is hardly anything on the above points.

Better to hang a single fixture or multiple. The plan you are making is very tough to execute.
You can make fixtures from pahargunj area.

You should search our DIY section for Joyce post on Led, he has give a very simple and effective approach to led building using heat sink and aluminium frame. You can apply similar approach to single or multiple heatsink.aawnaik wrote:I am thinking of making a Fixture for my 48X18X18 planted tank.
