you can use be something like an overflow

That will be a stunner. Waiting execution.

Probably you can have this overflow inside the sump.
If you want to go with something more flexible you can use Arduino, sketch for overflow and level switches are freely available and can be easily changed based on requirements. You may go for a double solenoid system where one will empty you tank up to a desired leave and other to fill it up.

Here's another idea for making sure the fish don't jump. U can try doing euro bracing on the tank. I have done the same for my five foot tank. No more fish jumps! I didn't like the look of the net and how much light it tends to block.
You could also drill the tank on one side couple of inches from the top, put a gate valve and open it when you need to flush out water. you would still need a storage tank for putting back the water though.

Eurobracing is also nice idea but the thing is fishes are not 100% protected
I also dont like nets on the tank
Here i am planning to make an acrylic lid for the tank with holes and make that work.

For WC frilling the hole is risky and also would not help with continuous WC
