Hi,
I have got NPK fertilizer which is for garden plants. And another fert of Ca+Mg+S combination, this also is for garden plants. Is it safe to make root tabs of these two for aquatic plants and will this be safe for fishes and shrimps?
Thanks in Advance
Jim

An easier approach will be to go with the off the shelf aquarium ferts because it will have a clear documentation of the dosage and you won't have to worry about the ill consequences of adding an unknown chemical.

Better to have N P and K separately rather than premixed. This allows for better control on dosing. Same with Ca+Mg. Unless they are slow release, not recommended for root tabs.
